Teeth protection from damages, occurring during sport trainings, is very important, although it is non-popular, domain of preservative dentistry and widely understood prophylaxis.
Sport-related teeth damages
(including dislocation, breakage, fractures, loss) these are contact and extreme sports. X-games, e.g. mountain cycling, capoeira, skateboarding etc. as well as more classic and tough disciplines: rugby, boxing, kick boxing or hockey, that have become more popular lately, belong to this group.
Sport-related excessive attrition
There are mainly motor sports in this group, in case of which exposition to strong vibrations occur (e.g.: rallies, motorbike and motor racing, off-road, avian acrobatics, water motor sports) and strength sports (e.g. body-building, weightlifting).
We do offer individually adjusted mouth guards for people training these sports!
Sport-related dental ailments resulting from pressure changes
Ailments resulting from pressure changes may occur during diving, pilotage, climbing, parachuting or sky-diving.
Teeth caries and non-tight dental and root canal fillings may cause strong pain when pressure is changed and not allow you to have good time. Malocclusion co-existing with alteration in breathing pattern do not allow to equalize pressure in internal ear.
Profound disinfection and sterilization of dental defects is performed with laser methods, PAD and ozone methods.
