The need for root canal treatment results from occurrence of advanced caries processes penetrating deep in the dental tissues (pulp) as well as bacterial processes carrying on in a gingival pocket. Pulp undergoes necrosis and, colloquially said, the tooth becomes dead.
Dead and untreated teeth are a source of further infections of tissues surrounding a tooth (abscess and fistulas occurrence etc.) and pain and general health state deterioration of the organism. Taking into account teeth brittleness, teeth often burst and break, which usually results in the necessity of their removal. Teeth, that were previously treated improperly, are frequent problem.
Endodontic treatment consists of a removal of internal tissue of a tooth, root canal debridement, its disinfection and its filling with proper materials. Profound root canal disinfection and sterilization are performed with laser methods and PAD method!
Reconstruction of a tooth structure is possible only when proper infection treatment, precise canal sealing up and implantation of tooth enhancements, that is crown-root inlays, were carried out. They might be made of gold, titan, zircon and fiberglass, which depends on aesthetic and functional expectations.
